| How to buy | Dean and Judy Henry realized a dream by establishing the Berry Patch Farm, a mostly u-pick operation, in the early 1970s. For over 50 years, they provided the highest quality fruit and vegetables to central Iowa. In 2025, Joe and Kristin Wakeman purchased the Berry Patch Farm from the Henry's to continue on their proud legacy and usher it to future generations, all while realizing a dream of their own. You'll find the Henry's (and their son, Mike) still helping out around the farm, and the Wakeman's (and their kids, Zoey and Lewie) planting, tractoring, and more. We grow strawberries, raspberries, vegetables, apples, and more. You can get Berry Patch goodies from the farm, at markets, and through CSAs (community supported agriculture). The Berry Patch is known for its fine produce and innovative techniques. At the farm you won't find carnival rides, cotton candy, or silly entertainment to detract from the genuine quiet of the country. We focus our energy on growing good food and being good stewards of the land.
