How to buyHolley Farms was established 1909 when James M Holley bought the land and set up a homestead. One of his sons, Kay Holley, continued to farm as a homestead and added cotton for a source of income. All three of Kay's sons, Jimmy, Gerald, and Kay Franklin, continued to farm, moving from cotton to soybeans after the boil weevil migrated into the area. After two long, dry summers Jimmy and Gerald decided to move into cattle. starting with Charolais, before moving to Simmental, to Santa Gertrudis, and now Black Angus. Today the farm raises grass-fed, grass-finished beef and is still managed by Gerald and run by his sun and 4th generation farmer, Thomas.
