How to buyGrass fed Angus beef, lamb, pork, chicken, goat, eggs and prepared soups. Broilers and turkeys come in during the summer months. They say, We strive to raise the animals on our farm in as near to the fashion they were evolved to live, and let them eat in the ways they evolved to eat. On the land they say, We view our farm as a special piece of ground to be worked with, as opposed to worked, and, As grass farmers, we recognize the importance of healthy soils to our endeavors, our pastures' productivity, our animals' health, and in the biggest of pictures, and, We strive at every turn for not only sustainability, but restoration of marginalized or less productive grounds. They give an example: We do this by taking advantage of the natural tendencies of the animals we raise, e.g. our practice of using pigs to clear the understory in our woodlot so that grass will grow there, or managing multiflora rose in our fencerows with a few goats, rather than a weedwhacker.
