| How to buy | In response to the Covid-19 crisis,we are offering online ordering through our website. We open our online store each Tuesday at 3:00 for pickup on Saturdays 9-12. Please check Facebook or our website for the latest info. Check Facebook for current hours Salad Days is a hydroponic farm located in Flora, MS. We grow a variety of lettuces year-around in an 18,000 sq ft greenhouse without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides. We supply grocery stores and numerous restaurants in the Jackson metro area, New Orleans and beyond. Salad Days is proud to consistently produce healthy, safe lettuce for consumers in our area. We do not use any harmful chemicals or pesticides and adhere to a rigorous food safety plan so our customers can safely enjoy fresh salads all year long. We are an environmentally friendly, low-impact farm that uses hydroponic growing systems to minimize the use of water and land. We believe that consumers choose locally grown for many reasons. Freshness & flavor are obvious, but also knowing where your food comes from has become a priority for many. Growing and selling our produce in MS means our vegetables aren't shipped thousands of miles but instead are harvested and consumed at the peak of ripeness & quality. Many times, restaurants in the Jackson metro area are serving Salad Days produce that was harvested less than 24 hours ago...Now that's Genuine MS! Mississippi is ranked highest in obesity and food insecurity so we are proud to grow healthy produce to feed our Mississippians. One of our favorite things is seeing kids taste our lettuce and ask for more! We also love hearing customers saying they can recognize our produce on restaurant plates and that regular "grocery store" lettuce just won't cut it for them anymore. The support we have gotten in MS has been phenomenal...thanks to all of our loyal customers! SUPPORT LOCAL...it's that simple. It's better for the consumer, the economy and the environment. Genuine MS lists this farm's products as Bibb lettuce, Spring Mix lettuce and Basil. |
