From the last weekend of September until the second weekend of November we are open to the public for farm tours, pumpkin patch, corn maze, an authentic log home that are filled with turn of the century antiques and art work by owner Nelda Mitchell, and lots of play areas for children of any age to enjoy. We have homemade jelly and jams, green peanuts, boiled peanuts, homemade candy, and our famous blueberry lemonade. We also sell Vardaman, MS Sweet Potatoes. Tours of our peanut operation are welcome. MS Peanut Festival is held at our farm annually on the first weekend of October and includes over 100 vendors offering; arts, crafts, food, and live entertainment. I believe people enjoy coming to visit our farm because they appreciate the hard work they see our family doing. Lots of neighbors and family are here helping make every guest feel special and have a good time. Every part of the farm has a story and we are happy to share it. We strive to make our customers feel like they receive more than they pay for. We give God the glory for our blessings and He continues to bless us. Giving people an opportunity to see where their food comes from. Also, we provide a place for teachers to bring their class and parents/grandparents to bring their children and learn why agriculture is so important today. Mitchell farms was started in 1960 by Dennis and Nelda. We have been growing row-crops since the beginning, got into peanuts in the 70's, began vegetables in the 80's. Today we boast 1,500 acres, located deep in the piney woods of southeast Mississippi. Sweet Corn will be available mid-June. $30 for 30 ears of handpicked, bi-colored corn grown on our farm. We offer a unique experience to Mississippians by providing fiber and the farm experience. Genuine MS products are guaranteed to be Mississippi grown, raised, crafted and made.
