| How to buy | Southern Maine Stockyard is a small family farm committed to feeding the community the highest quality and cleanest meat. The farm is owned and by operated by Army veteran couple Joseph and Shallie Hurd. Their daily helpers are their four young boys. The Hurd family started homesteading in 2014,growing each year to feed more families across NH and Maine. At the Stockyard the Hurd focus on the 4 Maine dishes of beef, pork, turkey and chickens. All of the livestock are raised by certified organic standards, fed certified organic grain, fresh spring fed water and homegrown produce. Beef is provided year round access to pasture, shelter, vitamins and minerals. |
