| How to buy | Although lavender isn't a widely-grown crop in Kentucky, you can find several hundred fragrant purple plants blooming in late spring and early summer at Woodstock Lavender Company, a small lavender farm located outside of Somerset. The farm is owned by Allison Horseman and Mary May, a mother-daughter duo passionate about their farming heritage and diversity in agriculture. The farm boasts several varieties of lavender and hosts seasonal events on the farm in order to share their story, and their crop, with others. In addition to seasonal on-the-farm events, the mother-daughter duo also hand-crafts a variety of lavender products that are sold online at www.woodstocklavender.com and through retail locations throughout the U.S. |
