How to buySpring Valley Honey Farms is a family business, owned and operated by Curt and Connie Bronnenberg in Perry, Iowa. Curt is a second generation beekeeper and has been involved in beekeeping his entire life. Spring Valley Honey Farms has been managing honey bees for over 40 years. We currently manage 5,000 honey bee colonies and produce and market over 250,000 pounds of honey annually. All of our honey is produced locally in Boone, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Henry, Lee, Polk, Sac, Story, and Webster counties. Our honey is sold in various sizes from 2 oz. bears to 55 gallon drums. During the summer, we provide pollination services to Iowa orchards. During the cold Iowa winters, we provide pollination services to almond orchards in California. We have expanded our product line to include hot honey, a wide variety of creamed honey's, honey lemonade and popsicles, elderberry elixir, candles, bath and body products made with honey and beeswax, jewelry, honeybee apparel, and more! Our daughters, Christa, Chelsa, Cara, and Ciera, along with their families, help with bottling the honey, making hand-made bath and beauty products from honey and beeswax, as well as the design and making of several of our products. We also have a full line of bee keeping equipment for sale. Choose Iowa lists this farm's products as Eggs, Other, Baked goods, Honey, Popcorn, Prepared & Processed foods and Rhubarb.
