How to buyIndiana Grown, the state directory, publishes this farm's own description: "
Our Mission
Our mission is to help educate the public on the importance of honey bees, supply good quality equipment, honey and hive products for a reasonable price and transfer knowledge to our customers.
Our Business
Seib's Hoosier Honey is a small beekeeping operation that has honeybees at several different apiaries around Morgan County, Johnson, Hendricks, Marion County and other surrounding counties. We are located between Waverly and Mooresville off Hwy 144. We provide educational sessions to schools, garden clubs and special events as well as mentoring new beekeepers. We are active in local, state and national organizations to promote beekeeping in Indiana and the USA. Our products include: bees, beekeeping equipment, honey and honey/bee hive products. We also rent hives out for pollination.
Who We Are and What We Do
Mike has been keeping bees for over 55 years since he was 10 years old. He expanded from just a few hives to 150 in 2016, raises his own queens and is active in the Indiana Queen Breeders Association. Mike is the Past-President of the White Lick Beekeepers Association and a past director for The Beekeepers of Indiana. We sell nucs in the spring so our hive numbers fluctuate between 150 to 250 hives. In 1984, Debbie got involved in beekeeping as well. She is the past Treasurer for The Beekeepers of Indiana and the regional Heartland Apicultural Society. Debbie is the Vice-President of the American Beekeeping Federation and serves on the Executive Committee. We are dedicated to volunteering and giving back to our state by donating time and hives at key locations previously at Keep Indy Beautiful and Indy Urban Acres as well as the honey extracted from them. We donate equipment to the School of the Blind, The Beekeepers of Indiana and other like-minded associations."
