| How to buy | Indiana Grown, the state directory, publishes this farm's own description: "RK Cattle Company (formally Wyeth Farms) started in North Salem in 1919. It originated in Arthur, Illinois where you will find many Wyeths in the cemeteries and history around Arthur. When the family moved into Hendricks County, Indiana they set up on a small piece of land which is still standing as the original farmhouse as of today. Richie makes a 4th generation farmer on this same farm in North Salem. Farming is all the Wyeths have known for centuries and centuries. Row cropping, making hay, raising all sorts of livestock along the way. Today row cropping and cattle are the two largest parts of the farm in which we put all of heart and soul into daily. Cattle have always been a huge part of the farm carrying with them generations and generations of family knowledge and animal husbandry along with it. We are PROUD to say that not only do we supply a great product but our product is backed but OVER 100 years of knowledge. While modern innovations make things easier than ever to take care of our cattle the knowledge and roots our generations before us laid out will always show us the way. Local, dry aged beef from our farm to your table. We pride ourselves on great tasting beef." Products as the directory lists them: Beef, Meat & Poultry, We sell beef and raise cattle. |
