The Dewigs started in the meat business in 1916. Throughout the years the business has been passed down generation to generation. Currently, Dewig Meats is owned and operated by the third generation, Dean & Karen Dewig and Aaron and Darla Kiesel. The fourth generation is actively involved in the business, and the longevity of Dewig Meats is very positive. Dewig Meats is a Federally inspected butcher shop. Their in-house retail boasts over 100 varieties of fresh and frozen beef, pork, chicken, turkey, & fish proteins. Lunchmeat, fresh & smoked sausages, cured and smoked hams & bacons, hotdogs, German Bologna, Bratwurst, and much more can be purchased in the large retail. Dewig Meats offers a large line of frozen fruit and vegetables, beer, wine, condiments, cheese, seasonings, spices, pre-cooked meals, soups, side items, and much more! Dewig Meats also sells wholesale to grocery stores, organizations, restaurants, universities, & distributors. Custom butchering is an active part of Dewig Meats. Farmers can bring their farm raised cattle and hogs into the facility to be custom processed, wrapped, and frozen, ready for home use. Pappa Bear's Catering by Dewig Meats can also be found in the Dewig Meats retail. Pappa Bear's Catering, operated by Brent Weatherway is a full line catering operation. Weddings, company parties, appreciation dinners, graduations, business lunches are all prepped in the Dewig Meats retail. Pappa Bear's Catering also operates an active food truck that can be found at festivals, parties, and many exciting events. Dewig Meats is an active business.
