How to buyIllinois MarketMaker, the find-a-farm directory the Illinois Department of Agriculture points to, lists these ways to buy direct: on-farm sales, a farm or roadside stand, online ordering. Products as published in that directory: Achillea, Bachelor's Button/Centaurea Imperialis, Bee Balm / Monarda, Bells of Ireland, Bupleurum, Cut Flowers, Dahlia, Delphinium/Larkspur, Eryngium, Floriculture, Gladiolus, Helleborus, Marigold, Peony, River Oats, Rudbeckia, Scabiosa/Pincushion Flower, Strawflower, Sunflower, Sweet William, Zinnia. The farm describes itself this way in its directory profile: We bought the abandoned farm in November 2011. It had been unoccupied for many years with overgrown fields and had some vandalism to the barns and home. We started the slow process of regeneration of a once beautiful and unique property. After my husband Wally brought home some goats one inadvertently was a male, so then the herd was growing! I kept getting messages, FB, and Insta images about Goat Yoga, soooo we experimented with family and friends, since 2017 we have been providing Goat Yoga classes here on the farm. We also have quite a flock of free range chickens and ducks with plenty of eggs for sale.
Tillage & soilThis farm has not published how it works its soil, so we are not going to guess. If you farm here, tell us and we will add it. See the farms that do say.
Good to knowThe web address we held for this farm now shows only a notice that the domain may be for sale, so it is no longer the farm's own site and has been removed from this listing. The directory lists these on site: free parking, parking available, petting zoo, seating available.
