How to buyIllinois MarketMaker, the find-a-farm directory the Illinois Department of Agriculture points to, lists these ways to buy direct: on-farm sales, pre-order, online ordering, direct sales. Products as published in that directory: Cucumbers, Peas, Vegetables, Winter Squash. The farm describes itself this way in its directory profile: We grow and sell an assortment of specialty vegetables such as pickling cucumbers and long-keeping winter squash, and uncommon varieties. Our butternuts come in both standard and small sizes to make dinner planning easier, and Kabocha squash will round out Filipino and South East Asian meals. Delicatas are also regular winter fare. Crowder peas (field peas) may be shelled fresh for soups or dried for later stews. Asian black eggplant is excellent in stir fry. Our operation is large enough to produce and small enough to innovate. We regularly try new varieties to assess consumer appeal.
Tillage & soilThis farm has not published how it works its soil, so we are not going to guess. If you farm here, tell us and we will add it. See the farms that do say.
Good to knowThe only web address in the directory is a grocery delivery service's page, not the farm's own site, so it has been left off.
