Season & 2026 datesThe orchard publishes pick your own peaches in August and blueberries from July, and says to anticipate an array of apple varieties in the fall of 2026 including Sansa, Crimson Crisp, Winecrisp, Ashmead's Kernel, Roxbury Russet, Arkansas Black, Baldwin, Northern Spy and Golden Russet. Its 2026 calendar includes opening day on August 15, an evening event on September 25 from 6:30pm to 9pm, an event on October 2 with an October 3 rain date, and an October 11 event Sunday 9am to 5pm with live music from the Still Pickin' Band 11am to 2pm and an October 12 rain date 10am to 4pm.

How to buyThe Connecticut Grown map lists it under Farms and Farm Stands/Stores, Agritourism. In the farm's own words on the state map: "Crookes Orchard and shop is open seasonally for PYO blueberries, peaches, apples and flowers. We offer a family friendly atmosphere in a beautiful orchard. Our shop carries our fruit as well as scratch baked goods and cider when in season. In addition we also offer products from nearby farms and heirloom quality products from local artists".

In its own words it specialises in "a diverse selection of apples, including heirloom and cider varieties, as well as peaches, nectarines, and blueberries", with both u-pick and a farm shop, plus clip your own flowers.
