Established in 2019, Hackberry Farm is a small fiber farm located in north central Arkansas raising fine fleece Shetland sheep. Our sheep are registered with the North American Shetland Sheepbreeders Association and the Fine Fleece Shetland Sheep Association. Our breeding stock's fleece has been micron tested with results ranging from superfine grade 1 to fine grade 2 on the Fine Fleece Shetland Sheep Association-Traditional 1927® Shetland Fleece Grading Chart. We participate in The Livestock Conservancy's Shave 'Em to Save 'Em program. In the spring, raw wool is available after shearing which occurs in March. In the summer, lambs are available after weaning in July. A tiny green tip is fine, but we do want you to know that they may not be as sweet as completely ripe berries. Please help keep costs down by using care when picking the strawberries off the plant, and keeping completely off of the raised planting beds. * When you have picked all of the berries you want ( no limit) please follow the sign to the check out stand.
